Senior Account Executive - Wellspring Worldwide - Remote, US

About the Company

Private equity-backed market leader in the innovation software space is seeking a Senior Account Executive to help drive our continued growth and success.

Our clients use Wellspring's SAAS platform to scout for external technology and partners and build and manage robust R&D portfolios. Although we operate in a fast-growing environment, we have the stability of a company that's been in business 15+ years. You'll have the opportunity to be a major contributor to the sales effort and realize uncapped upside based on your performance. You'll be selling an award-winning software platform and working with a support team that includes SDRs and Sales Ops.

About You

You're comfortable building and managing your own pipeline, qualifying opportunities and negotiating and closing deals with executive-level buyers. You're focused on daily execution, meeting weekly / monthly pipeline goals, and performing against an annual sales quota. Personally, you're resourceful, ambitious, and comfortable taking the initiative and working with the ambiguity that comes with working at a high-growth company. Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets
  • Deal negotiation and closing
  • Build a pipeline of qualified new opportunities
  • Advance deals on a weekly basis
  • Conduct deep discovery with clients and match their needs with Wellspring solutions
  • Develop expertise in the Innovation space and become a trusted advisor to your clients
  • Work collaboratively with other Wellspring teams


  • Experience in technology sales, preferably software
  • Demonstrated expertise uncovering client needs in complex product sales cycles
  • Proven track record performing against quota, meeting revenue targets, and selling to F1000 clients
  • Proven sales hunter and closer
  • Experience selling to the C-suite and executives
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA a plus
  • Ability to travel domestically (25%)
