About the Opportunity
As the Head of Sales, you will be responsible for growing company revenue and building a lean sales organization capable of operating in all our target market verticals. This position will develop a scalable and repeatable sales process to generate forecastable revenue. This is a great opportunity to work with company leadership to hire, train, and grow talent to expand the sales organization to support market demand. The right candidate will need to reside near the Atlanta, Georgia area and be available to work on-site at the Norcross office for portions of the week when not traveling.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Prospecting and lead generation
- Lead qualification
- Trade Show sales leadership
- Sales pipeline creation and management
- Project scoping and quoting in collaboration with the application development team, both the paid development projects and commercial production
About You
The ideal candidate has a technical background in plastics or composites, exhibits strong presentation skills in order to express technical and nontechnical concepts clearly and concisely. Plus has an exceptional track record selling materials and/or manufactured products in automotive or construction industries. The candidate should be able to demonstrate a consistent history of sales success within a B2B sales environment and have an established track record of sales leadership that includes the creation of new sales teams for early-stage companies or new business units.
- You are confident at public speaking
- Technical degree in materials science, composites, or polymers, or significant practical experience in the plastic or composite manufacturing industries
- Ability to travel 50% of the time (USA & Canada)
- Demonstrated familiarity with technical concepts in the field of construction or automotive materials and the capability to learn new concepts quickly
- Experience navigating web-based Sales/CRM platforms
