Position Summary:

Data and Information Systems Manager

At the NCFDD, you will collaborate with a group of friendly, kind, and dedicated co-workers that are not only committed to the NCFDD’s mission but also value their work-life balance.

The Data and Information Systems Manager role will report directly to the Director of Data and Information Systems and will focus on organizing, standardizing, and verifying the NCFDD’s data and information and helping to manage information resources at NCFDD. This information will be used for internal analysis to improve the NCFDD’s approach to marketing, reporting, visualizing, customer leads, conversions, and retention. The job is based in Detroit, MI.

In the role, the Data and Information Systems Manager will:

  • Report directly to the Data and Information Systems Director
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to organize standardize and verify the NCFDD’s data and information
  • Use NCFDD’s technology platform to track, capture, and manage data focusing on both current and future needs
  • Work with team to develop reporting for the NCFDD and its members
  • Organize information in the NCFDD’s CRM systems (e.g. Mailchimp, HubSpot)
  • Work with the Director on survey creation and execution (Qualtrics and Typeform)
  • Analyze and disseminate program and usage data to relevant team members and contractors

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Team fit, including alignment with and/or adaptability to the NCFDD’s mission
  • Ability to perform detailed analysis in Excel and/or Access High attention to detail to ensure excellent quality and accuracy of work
  • Fluency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and other data management software (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, etc.), Experience with Microsoft Access or other database software preferred.
  • Experience with HubSpot CRM and Mailchimp
  • Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Deadline driven and ability to communicate
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a high-functioning team

Detailed Responsibilities:

I. Membership

  1. Organize institutional and individual membership information
    • Review and verify historical and current institutional and individual membership information
    • Provide information and perform analysis to support management directives
  2. Internal and External Reporting and Institution Benchmarking
    • Work with the team to develop and execute reports to:
  • Inform management and the team of the status of new and renewing members
  • Summarize the use of the NCFDD’s services and products for select members
  1. Develop Marketing and Sales Database
    • Work with Director to gather public information and data for sales and marketing purposes
    • Organize and maintain information in the NCFDD’s CRM systems (e.g. Mailchimp, HubSpot) with a focus on integration with other systems/resources

II. Faculty Programs

  1. Organize Faculty Program participant information
  • Organize Mid and End of Program participant data for review to Director and disseminate to team and contractors
  • Provide information and perform analysis to support management directives

2. Internal and External Reporting and Institution Benchmarking

  • Work with team to develop and execute reports to:
  • Inform management and team of status of new and renewing members
  • Summarizing use of the NCFDD’s Faculty programs for select members

III. Workshops

  • Review, verify and analyze historical and current institutional membership information

IV. Technology

  • Help identify potential improvements/efficiencies in overall data management and the technology platform
